“…pain is the root of knowledge.” -Simone Weil
I am passionate about helping individuals with anxiety, focusing on its roots in childhood experiences and trauma. I aim to understand and treat anxiety's impact on relationships, work, and passions. My work includes exploring how past issues contribute to anxiety and providing holistic treatment options.
In 2015, I decided to leave the corporate world and take on a new position as a stay-at-home mother and caregiver for my mom, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. It was during this time, which was influenced by my father's early death, that created a desire to learn more about mental health and how it affects individuals and families.
My clinical experience encompasses providing comprehensive mental health care for adults in private practice and non-profit agencies. My academic background includes a degree in Anthropology from the University of North Texas and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health from The University of North Texas at Dallas. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Melanie K Wells, LPC-Supervisor.
